Getting started
Setting up user interviews is a key activity for product teams. The more feedback and insights you get from your users, the better products you can build.
It is also a time suck to find the right users to talk to based on your objective.
In this playbook we'll show you how to find the right user cohorts to interview based on your specific criteria and help set up interviews automatically.
Step 1: What you'll need
You'll need access to Lancey's Merlin agent.
Connect to your product analytics, customer support, and call transcripts platform within Lancey's integration tab.
Step 2: Setting up filters
Once Merlin is setup, it's able to make sense of your product data automatically. We'll leverage Merlin's ability to query, segment, and action for the next two steps.
Best user interviews have a specific objective in mind. So let's go ahead and provide what type of users we want to interview amongst our customer base.
For example, you might be interested in finding all paid users who have used X feature and submitted feedback about Y topic.
Prompt
Find me all users on paid plan who have used integrations feature and requested new integrations.
Merlin will do the tedious work of going through your data set, finding the users that match this condition and give you a preview.
Step 3: Sending messages
Now that we have a list of users that match our exact condition, all that's left to do is get Merlin to reach out and set up meetings.
Since Merlin has context about your users, it can draft specific emails inviting them to chat with you. If the draft looks good, Merlin will send it off using the Gmail integration setup.
