However, identifying the right segments and crafting personalized messages can be a complex and time-consuming process.
In this playbook, we'll guide you through the steps to set up and optimize your Personalization Engine.
Step 1: What you'll need
You'll need access to Lancey's Merlin agent.
Connect to your product analytics, CRM, and customer support platform within Lancey's integration tab.
Step 2: Setting up filters
Once Merlin is set up, it can automatically make sense of your product data. We'll leverage Merlin's ability to query, segment, and action for the next two steps.
Personalized communication is most effective when it targets specific user behaviours and preferences. So, let's define the type of users we want to personalize our communication for.
For example, you might be interested in finding all users who have completed the onboarding process and have not engaged with a particular feature.

Merlin will do the tedious work of going through your data set, finding the users that match this condition, and give you a preview.
Step 3: Crafting and Sending Personalized Emails
Now that we have segmented our users based on their recent interactions, the next step is to leverage Merlin to craft and send personalized emails.
Since Merlin has access to detailed user data, it can draft highly personalized emails tailored to each user's specific needs and behaviours. If the draft meets your expectations, Merlin will send the emails using an integrated email platform like Gmail or Outlook.
